The real Moody Judy

Jordana Beatty, the star of Judy Moody, talks NOT bummer summers, One Direction and embarrassing moments ahead of the DVD release of Judy Moody and the NOT Bummer Summer on Monday.

Jordana, what would be the coolest way to spend your summer?
In the summer, I go to the beach every single day. I go surfing with my family and then we all go home to have ice-cream – it’s amazing and such a great way to spend the summer holidays.

When you're not filming, what kind of things do you like to do in your spare time?
I do a lot of dancing and I'm a very big reader.

Had you read the Judy Moody books before being in the film?
Yes! I'd read them all twice, probably more than that! I was a big fan, they're very cute and I love all the characters. I thought the story lines were wonderful.

Are you like Judy at all?
Yes, definitely! I mean obviously, we both have the same colour hair but also, we both collect lots of things and get into moods. Although she has a lot more bad moods than I do!

What's the most embarrassing thing that's happened to you on a film set?
I don't think anything embarrassing has happened, that might be still to come!

What’s the funniest?
The funniest thing was when I played a practical joke on the cameraman. We put eye shadow all over his eye piece, so he got a big black ring around his eye when he looked down. It was hilarious!

The 30-second quick fire round

Do you dance?

Yes, I do everything! Ballet, jazz, tap, a little hip-hop.

Who is your fave popstar?

Ooh, that's hard! I really like Jessie J but for bands I like One Direction.

Which one’s the best?

I can't decide between Harry or Niall!

Chocolate or crisps, Jordana?

Oooh, definitely white chocolate!
